₹315 Crore Mega Road Makeover Planned for Gautam Budh Nagar

Gautam Budh Nagar has proposed an extensive road infrastructure development plan for the 2026–27 financial year under the Public Works Department (PWD), focusing on improving regional connectivity, road safety, and transport infrastructure.

The district-level review meeting, chaired by Medha Roopam, outlined multiple infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening the district’s transportation network.

As part of the proposed plan, nearly 78.77 km of existing roads are slated for widening and strengthening works with an estimated investment of ₹256.15 crore. In addition, under the Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (CMGSY), the administration has proposed the construction of 62.2 km of rural roads at a projected cost of ₹46.45 crore to improve connectivity in rural areas.

The roadmap also includes an allocation of ₹11.21 crore for the construction of minor bridges spanning 124 metres to facilitate smoother traffic movement, along with ₹1.15 crore earmarked for road safety improvements across a 3.15-km stretch.

The infrastructure proposals follow a recent review conducted by Yogi Adityanath, who directed officials to ensure that all projects are executed within stipulated timelines while maintaining strict quality standards.
